Emma Sangeelee, a partner at Edwin Coe, works with a mix of HNW clients and entrepreneurs on a broad range of employment law needs, from reviewing their remuneration packages to consulting on post-termination restrictions and navigating exit packages for departing high-profile members of staff. Many of these clients are based in the energy sector (including a host of crude oil traders) and the world of private equity. 

‘I have a real focus on dispute resolution,’ she told Spear’s. ‘If you have a claim or concerns about discrimination or whistleblowing, what individuals want and need is a resolution quickly, so they can either continue working, or they get out and they’re adequately compensated.’

Sangeelee said she relishes the close relationships she develops with her clients, which allow her to understand and advise on the interpersonal dynamics at play in different workplace scenarios.
