Spear’s Review
Shams Rahman is a highly experienced partner in Edwin Coe’s property disputes team, also working on a variety of contentious trusts and private wealth disputes.
As part of Rahman’s contentious trusts practice, he acts for private clients and trust companies on challenges to the validity of wills, including claims under the Inheritance Act 1975; cross-border probate disputes; and breaches of trust and trustees’ duties. Prepared to take cases through to trial and appeal, he is also experienced in using alternative dispute resolution methods to help his clients find solutions.
Rahman, who joined Edwin Coe in 2014 after stints at Payne Hicks Beach and Bishop & Sewell, is qualified to practice in the UK and Pakistan, and has been involved in many cross-border cases, including those where individuals or assets were located in Switzerland, Belgium, Jersey, Guernsey and the US.
