A partner and head of employment at Edwin Coe, Linky Trott assists with the full gamut of employment law issues for a wide clientele of senior executives.

She told Spear’s that the world of work is ‘essentially a very human relationship’, adding that clients’ sense of identity ‘is so bound up by the work [they] do’. Given the firm’s focus on senior executives, the employment team at Edwin Coe has been structured to be partner-led. ‘[Clients] want partner input,’ she said. 

‘The nature of Edwin Coe is such that we don’t usually just deal with the basic unfair dismissal,’ Trott added. ‘It’s always got to have some extra element, like discrimination, whistleblowing or some complicated share arrangements.’
