London-based design firm Anouska Hempel works across gardens, hotels, interiors, retail and yachts, delivering projects around the world. 

It was founded by actress-turned-hotelier-turned-designer Anouska Hempel, Lady Weinberg, whose bold design for the interiors of the Blakes Hotel in London – lauded as the first luxury boutique hotel – in 1978 launched her career.

In 2022, Hempel received the Andrew Martin International Interior Designer Award’s first lifetime achievement honour, with Andrew Martin founder Martin Waller highlighting Hempel’s ‘mastery of symmetry, geometry, repetition and scale’, which ‘gives her work an identity, instantly recognisable’.
