For Sarah Conway, head of real estate at Maurice Turnor Gardner, prime residential transactions valued at over £10 million are her bread and butter. ‘I certainly enjoy it far more than doing supermarket sweeps or big office buildings,’ she has told Spear’s.

Conway joined MTG in 2013 after transferring from Allen & Overy, where she specialised in high-value residential and commercial property transactions.

After 30 years in her field, Conway knows all too well that property is highly personal. ‘You can buy the biggest buildings and it’s all on a commercial base – nobody will have any emotion about it. But the CEO of a company who decides to buy his beautiful apartment or beautiful house? It’s an emotional thing.’
