James Morrell, deputy CEO in Rothschild & Co’s wealth management business in the UK, works on some of the firm’s largest client relationships, specialising in ‘complex situations’ involving UHNW clients.

Morrell believes in long-term relationships, having told Spear’s that wealth management, to him, is all about ‘adapting to each generation’s requirements’.

‘There’s no such thing as a typical client, but there are some commonalities. They’re often first- or second-generation wealthy, entrepreneurs, and looking to us to preserve and grow the real value of their wealth.’

He also acts as a team leader for Rothschild & Co’s client-facing teams, and focuses on delivering ‘exceptional client service, ensuring that everyone is empowered to put clients at the centre of everything they do’.
