Laurent Gagnebin is CEO of Rothschild & Co’s wealth management business in Switzerland and a member of the company's global executive committee.

Gagnebin works in tandem with London-based counterpart Helen Watson to provide a comprehensive range of banking and wealth management services to some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, families, foundations and charities – around two-thirds of whom are international. 

‘They want to preserve their assets and grow them over time,’ Gagnebin says.

This, however, does not prevent clients from accessing the private markets. Rothschild’s merchant banking division, Five Arrows, has more than €20 billion under management, where the group and employees co-invest their own assets alongside clients, while the group’s wealth and asset management business has more than €100 billion under management as of mid-2024.

Laurent Gagnebin joined Rothschild & Co in 2011, and since 2016 has been CEO of Rothschild & Co Wealth Management in Switzerland. He is responsible for the entire Swiss Wealth Management business as well as for its subsidiaries in Germany, Dubai, Israel, Luxembourg and Spain. Laurent graduated from the École Hôtelière de Lausanne and worked for several years in management positions in the hotel industry before entering the financial sector.
