Spear’s Review

Citi banker George Murray specialises in looking after UK entrepreneurs and family offices with anything between £25 million and ‘several billions’ in net worth.

Murray joined Citi in 2010 as a graduate; the private banker now offers his services to clients with UK needs but a global outlook. He emphasises that he only works with ‘a small number of clients’ and is proud of the bank’s ‘global and institutional-calibre offering’.

‘By covering a very small number of clients,’ Murray tells Spear’s, ‘I’m not trying to be all things to all people.’ 

On his approach to working with these clients, Murray says: ‘It’s being that first point of call for our clients and calling them in times of positive discussion, and also calling them during periods of volatility.’
