Before joining Sotheby’s International Realty in London in 2023, Simon Burgoyne headed Knight Frank’s Mayfair office for around a decade, helping clients to source their dream properties around Hyde Park. ‘Leaving Knight Frank was a difficult decision – it always is when you love the place,’ he told Spear’s at the time. 

Now as senior sales director at Sotheby’s, he has even more time to support his affluent UHNW client base with home sales, unmoored by management responsibilities and relishing in the creativity and flexibility offered by his new working environment.

Burgoyne, whose two-decade career has seen him achieve a total of £2 billion in sales, says his role allows him to use Sotheby’s full network of property advisers to support clients’ specialist property needs: he helped one client to source a stud farm, for example.
