Nicola Jones works with a variety of clients at the lower end of the HNW spectrum, a group who may not have traditionally fallen within Vardags’ remit. This includes a number of successful entrepreneurs and business owners, she said, who often benefit from understanding the worth of their assets – something the firm’s internal team of asset valuers is well equipped to help with.

On the private law side, cases are becoming more complicated, she explained. ‘It’s very rare you’ll get cases now where it’s simply a matter of the amount of time a child spends with each parent. It tends to be that you’re getting cases either where one party is looking to relocate, either internally or internationally, or you’ve got safeguarding issues.’

Jones is based in Vardags’ Manchester office alongside Emma Gill, who leads the team in the north of England.
