Jonny Fowle

Jonny Fowle joined Sotheby’s in 2019 as a deputy director and spirits specialist who headed up the auction house’s global spirits arm within its wine department. Under his leadership, the percentage of spirits sold within the department increased, and Fowle oversaw a record-breaking £7.6 million auction.

In 2021 he was made director and headed a dedicated rare whisky and fine spirits team, and in 2022, he was asked to manage Sotheby’s auction centres across New York, London and Paris, while also overseeing the EMEA operations. He now serves as vice president and global head of whisky.

Prior to joining Sotheby’s, Fowle was a sole trader at Wandering Whisky.
