Rothschild & Co managing director Peter Hindle was recruited in 2015 to set up and grow the firm’s wealth management business across the north west of England.

Clients tend to be entrepreneurs. ‘They might have had private equity backing and realised wealth from a number of transactions or are family-owned businesses where the current generation wants to realise the value and exit,’ Hindle tells Spear’s.

The former Credit Suisse banker and former corporate solicitor emphasises the importance of encouraging clients to think about long-term investment and wealth planning strategies. He notes: ‘We guide them to use the wealth they’ve generated to reach the goals that are the most important to them, to achieve their individual objectives and the things they are passionate about.’
