A specialist in complex cross-border issues, his focus is mainly on UK-resident individuals, whom he assists with pre-arrival planning and the structuring of inbound investments. Recent work includes advising a UK entrepreneur in relation to their business interests and the creation of their family office.

Succession planning also is a large part of his practice, and he has been involved in family trust issues with litigious elements. Hunter spent six months on secondment in the US, where he gained an understanding of such matters for US citizens and residents.
