Macfarlanes senior partner Sebastian Prichard Jones specialises in helping globally dispersed, wealthy families with their tax planning and succession planning needs. Experienced in working with UK and non-UK based clients in structuring their affairs, he also advises on tax investigations and trusts litigation.
The firm offers support on both direct and indirect tax disputes as well as handling the ‘full spectrum’ of tax matters in relation to HMRC. Prichard Jones’s recent work has included advising on an investigation by HMRC into the structure of a non-UK grouping of companies, and advising on asset-holding structures for a family with interests across three different countries.
Prichard Jones trained at Macfarlanes in 1998 and was made a partner in 2005 before becoming senior partner in 2020.
