Penningtons Manches Cooper partner Anna Worwood considers herself something of a perfectionist. ‘I always aim for the best in my work,’ she tells Spear’s, meaning that clients must not only receive a truly ‘first-class’ service, but ultimately must be represented by a lawyer who is prepared to strive for the best outcome, whatever the circumstances. She further notes: ‘I want my clients to know they can trust me to guide and support them through what can be one of the most traumatic and difficult experiences of their lives.’

Worwood began her career at Manches in 2001, rising to partner within five years. When the firm merged to become Penningtons Manches in 2013, she became an integral part of one of London’s fastest-growing family law teams.

In 2022, Worwood was promoted to head of the family department.

Anna heads the Penningtons Manches Cooper family department, acting for HNW clients in both financial and children cases.  

Anna is well known for her work in cases concerning international child relocation and co-authored the first comprehensive guide on the subject. Anna chairs the International Relocation Committee of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) and is also General Editor of the Global Guide to Relocation Law.

Anna’s financial cases often involve complex structures and she has acted for many clients in the private equity space. Her career highlights include representing an UHNW American entrepreneur in matters concerning his international family and English divorce and financial proceedings.
