Amanda Andrews of Penningtons Manches Cooper enjoys a reputation as a skilled and flexible lawyer with a knack for complex cases involving children, financial and property issues. She has over 30 years’ post-qualification experience across all areas of family law. 

A trained mediator and active member of Resolution, she describes her role as ‘bringing fair and early resolution’ to the issues arising from the breakdown of relationships, always striving to do so ‘with minimum animosity and litigation however complex the issue’.

Since joining the firm, she has acted in a number of contentious cases, including representing the wife in highly complex enforcement proceedings involving a large property portfolio. Andrews was successful in obtaining the order, which was then upheld in both the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Despite the often acrimonious nature of the cases themselves, Andrews never loses sight of the need for kindness: ‘I hope my clients perceive me to be approachable, honest and empathetic,’ she says.
