Paul Barham, a partner and head of personal taxes at BKL, advises HNW and internationally mobile clients, as well as trusts and estates, on tax, trust and succession planning.

Well equipped to navigate the complexities of UK and international tax, Barham works with both UK-based individuals and non-residents to develop strategies around their private wealth, tax compliance – including inheritance tax – and reporting requirements.

Taking a long-term view, he understands that clients often seek to build wealth that grows across generations, and can advise on UK residency for those seeking to move capital and income into the country. 

Before moving to BKL, he spent over two decades at Forvis Mazars, where he was a tax director and partner in the private client team. He became a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2001, a Trust and Estate Practitioner in 2012 and has been a Fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians since 1999.
