Charles Russell Speechlys’ Andrew Collins is a corporate lawyer by training whose clients include a number of HNWs and family businesses, as well as listed companies and banks.

Having trained at Farrer & Co, and then at Macfarlanes, he has vast experience in the private wealth space, and works closely with colleagues in the firm’s private client and private wealth disputes team. This area of law has ‘expanded enormously in recent years’, he tells Spear’s. ‘I have really developed an expertise in private clients and how to advise them in a company context.’

Indeed, he is a trusted adviser for a number of significant companies, providing corporate governance and succession advice, as well as M&A and transactional support. Collins also acts for trustees (both professional and private) with significant shareholdings in private and public companies, and is able to provide corporate and regulatory advice – including on the UK’s Takeover Code, market abuse regulation and disclosure – in relation to listed shareholdings.
