Shona Alexander is a partner at Charles Russell Speechlys.

Alexander, who joined the firm in 2016 following a long tenure at Forsters, has extensive experience in a comprehensive range of family law matters, including complex financial cases, marital and cohabitation agreements, and child arrangements and relocations.

Her clients are spread across landed families, entrepreneurs and those who work in professional services. ‘I am really lucky in that most of my clients come to me through past client recommendations,’ she tells Spear’s. Alexander says she always looks for a settlement where possible, and often needs to take a holistic approach, working with families across a range of issues rather than being siloed into purely financial or children matters.

‘I think sometimes there is too much litigation, and if you have clients who are parents, they are going to be parents for a very long time with each other,’ she says. ‘The more that we can do to help resolve their disputes in a reasonable way, I think the better outcome for everybody involved.’
