Jamie Kennaugh is routinely involved in some of the most challenging cases at Charles Russell Speechlys.
Now head of the firm’s family law team, Kennaugh’s practice comprises both public and private children cases, as well as financial proceedings, often with an international element. She also has an increasing specialism in issues of capacity, as well as allegations of domestic abuse and dealing with vulnerable parties.
‘Domestic abuse is threaded through most of our cases now, when it wasn’t before,’ she tells Spear’s. ‘As a society, we are starting to understand it and see it for what it is rather than just minimising it.’
Kennaugh adds that she often uses her experience with past cases to inform her approaches going forward, and works to ensure that clients have the right support network in place throughout a case.
