Fladgate partner Catherine Costley’s work encompasses the typical spectrum of HNW family law, namely divorce and separation, and the resultant financial and children matters.

Costley has particular expertise when it comes to cases that have an international dimension, and she has been praised by clients and colleagues alike for her diligent and effective handling of cases involving offshore structures, trusts and complex corporate structuring, as well as carried interest.

‘One of the nice things about Fladgate is that there is a very energetic culture,’ she tells Spear’s, adding that this tends to attract clients who ‘have a bit of hustle’ and are ‘forward thinking’, including entrepreneurs, professionals, sports personalities and public figures, as well as private equity investors.

Costley trained at Rooks Rider, then spent time at Penningtons Manches Cooper and Payne Hicks Beach before joining Fladgate in 2023.
