Richard Bate leads the private wealth team nationally for Weightmans.

Based in Manchester, Bate advises clients on a wide range of estate and succession planning matters, including wills, trusts, family investment companies and probate. He also works with business owners and family enterprises with complex asset structures on tax planning and wealth protection. He has a broad experience of working with clients from myriad backgrounds, having worked in large commercial and smaller high-street firms prior to joining Weightmans.

Bate is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and Law Society private client section, and routinely presents estate planning seminars for large organisations and companies. He was previously a visiting lecturer at the University of Law in Manchester.
