Carole Atkinson, a partner at Weightmans in Liverpool, has over 35 years of experience as a family law specialist, dealing with clients with complex and high-value financial assets.

‘My current role includes developing the private client services at Weightmans and looking at ways that we can continue to grow and improve the services we offer to those clients,’ she tells Spear’s.

During her time at Weightmans, Atkinson has built a successful team of family law specialists across the UK. ‘The private client team continues to grow,’ she explains.

Atkinson has clients who remain in touch more than 30 years after she first acted for them, and has also been given power of attorney to make decisions in relation to their well-being. ‘I regard this as an honour; [it shows] a significant degree of trust in me as their professional adviser.’
