Quentin Marshall

Spear’s Review

Quentin Marshall has been described by an insider as ‘the biggest brain in the industry’, and in 2018 the Spear’s Awards judging panel agreed, naming him UK Private Banker of the Year. 

Marshall stepped up as head of private banking and then managing director of Weatherbys Private Bank, and became CEO in 2023. Previously, he’d been at Coutts as head of advisory within the investments team and deputy chairman of the investment strategy committee. 

‘Old-fashioned values such as integrity, courtesy and respect are my watchwords,’ he says. ‘I believe in treating clients as individuals and as part of the extended family.’ It’s an ethos that extends throughout the family-owned private bank, and which is reflected in its long-standing connections with HNW families.
