Spear’s Review

Described as an ‘eco-system of happiness,’ Knightsbridge School was founded in 2006 by Magoo Giles, a former Coldstream Guard, with the vision of creating a nurturing and inspiring environment for young learners.

Drawing inspiration from his own upbringing, Giles established the KS Code, a set of 12 guiding principles that reflect values such as creativity, empathy, respect and resilience—qualities he sought to instil in every student. In honour of his parents, the code serves as a cornerstone of the school's ethos, shaping its holistic approach to education.

Offering a seamless journey from nursery through to age 16, Knightsbridge School provides a nurturing environment where students flourish academically, emotionally, and socially. Upon completing their studies, pupils transition to prestigious schools and colleges such as Godolphin & LatymerWestminster, and St Paul’s, well-prepared for the next phase of their academic journey.

Academics

78 per cent of GCSE results are grades 7–9.

Head teacher

Shona Colaço has held several leadership roles at Knightsbridge School, including head of science, director of studies and deputy head. She became head of the school, which she describes as a ‘unique, warm and caring school where happy staff and happy children achieve amazing things.’

Admissions

Applicants are invited to attend an assessment day, which includes informal interviews and activities tailored to their age group.

The school focuses on finding well-rounded children who demonstrate academic potential, curiosity and a love of learning.

Scholarships are available for exceptional abilities in academics, music and sports.

Parents are encouraged to visit the school to ensure it aligns with their child’s needs and aspirations.
