‘Family law is a bit like Marmite – you either love it or you hate it, and I got the bug immediately,’ says Caitlin Jenkins, the partner who leads Mills & Reeve’s family team in Cambridge.

She moved to the city in 2003 after nine years at Withers. Clients include ‘tech entrepreneurs, senior figures in business including PLCs, farmers and families with landed estates and trusts’. 

Jenkins is one of a small handful of regional members of the International Academy of Family Lawyers: ‘It shows that a lot of international work can be done, and is being done, outside London,’ she notes. Other feats include being the only solicitor in Cambridge to be a qualified arbitrator, and serving on Mills & Reeve’s board.
