Financial and children law specialist Joanna Grandfield leads Mills & Reeve’s family team in London and sits on the firm’s board as one of three equity partners. She prides herself on taking the time to get to grips with a case’s legal complexities alongside the client’s intentions and ‘working together to formulate a strategy and create a team to achieve it’.

A trained barrister and mediator, Grandfield practices collaborative law, drafts pre- and postnuptial agreements and advises on wealth protection issues for her clients, who include individuals, trustees and family offices. Another area of interest for Grandfield is mental health – she has acted as a trustee on a start-up charity that provides mental health services to children and young people.
