Spear’s Review

Carolina Marín Pedreño is a partner and head of the children department at Dawson Cornwell.

Dual-qualified in Spain and England and Wales, Marín Pedreño is focused on complex, cross-border disputes, including abduction, relocation, leave to remove orders and public law cases with an international element. She is also instructed to act in nuptial agreements and financial proceedings where there is a Spanish-speaking requirement, and many of her clients are globally mobile UHNW families coming from the Spanish-speaking world.

‘The cultural input that I bring to a case is something that [clients] notice and realise how valuable it is,’ she tells Spear’s. ‘They can see that I have a lot of years of experience and with lots of different cases, having litigated in other countries.’

Indeed, Marín Pedreño has been involved in widely reported cases and has appeared before the European Court of Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
