After initially focusing on general and serious crime, Alex Swan discovered a passion for white-collar crime cases, including bribery and corruption, fraud and money laundering.

The Greenberg Traurig partner works with a range of corporates and U/HNW individuals – from business professionals to celebrities – and has been involved in some of the most high-profile cases in recent years, advising individuals in connection with various investigations concerning Rolls-Royce, GSK, Tesco and Glencore.

‘I’m typically in a position where there are multiple allegations in different jurisdictions,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘So, I’m used to managing those proceedings and taking on an advisory role.’

Swan believes timing is key in white-collar crime: ‘You always want people to come to you as soon as possible,’ he says. However, he is no stranger to managing a crisis and has dealt with his fair share of midnight phone calls from police stations across the world.
