Michael Magnay, a director at Cazenove Capital since 2021, previously spent more than two decades looking after some of the UK’s most important HNWs at SG Kleinwort Hambros (prior to its acquisition by UBP). 

He has his finger on the entrepreneurial pulse, and often advises business owners in setting up structures to transition ‘new money’ to the next generation. ‘He runs a number of our key clients, covering entrepreneurs and intergenerational families,’ a former colleague tells Spear’s. 

Magnay has previously said: ‘Volatility comes and goes, corporations wax and wane, crises rear their ugly heads, but if one constructs prudently managed portfolios, all storms can be weathered.’

He is proud of Cazenove’s place in the wealth management sector and says that ‘the company helps entrepreneurs to maximise their success not only as a business owner, but during an exit and into [their] next chapter’.
