With more than two decades of investment management experience under his belt, Duncan Gordon is responsible for overseeing a wide range of private client and charity portfolios at Sarasin & Partners.

The majority of the firm’s clients are ‘looking for long-term growth with solid income-generating credentials’, he explains. Gordon manages 50 different relationships, comprising individual portfolios, joint portfolios, family accounts and charities.

‘We have a strong focus on the understanding of risk to ensure that all our clients have an in-depth understanding of the level of risk in their portfolios, which allows a level of expectation through the economic cycle,’ he tells Spear’s.

Prior to his role at Sarasin & Partners, he spent a decade at GAM Investments as a portfolio director.
