Jamie Black heads the private client team at Sarasin & Partners, with responsibilities across client relationship management, new business development and product advisory.

Black favours an analytical, highly educational and thorough approach to client management, while firmly believing in nurturing the next generation of talent via the firm’s internship scheme. 

Before joining Sarasin in 1996, Black started at NCL Investments just days before the 1987 stock market crash. His distinct approach to client service utilises ‘the sixth sense’: predicting when his clients are likely to be worrying. ‘I feel disappointed if a client rings us when we had it in the back of the mind that we should be ringing them – you always want to get the call in first!’
