Spear’s Review
Nicola Barber, who joined James Hambro in 2012, told Spear’s that plans are in place to significantly increase the bank’s AuM in the next few years.
‘It comes down to the belief that you can offer a boutique service and a high-quality investment process with conviction and passion,’ said Barber, who is a partner and head of charities at the firm, pointing to a changing scene where larger investment houses are merging, leaving clients feeling uncertain.
Although Hambro is growing, Barber is emphatic that its ethos is to deliver a bespoke service by limiting the number of clients per manager. ‘As a client I want to know who is managing my money; I want to be able to pick up the phone to them directly,’ she said.
