Al Tamimi & Company’s Ahmad Zaza specialises in intellectual property (IP) law, working across the UAE and the MENA region to help businesses and other trademark owners with a range of IP, trademark and copyright claims across different sectors, including fast-moving consumer goods such as confectionery and skincare, hospitality and tech. 

‘We are witnessing an increase in queries regarding AI and copyright,’ he tells Spear’s. 

Having studied intellectual property law at the University of Jordan, Zaza began his career as a trainee at Jordan’s Nabulsi & Associates before moving to work in-house as a lawyer at Arab GT (a motoring company). He joined Tamimi as an associate in 2011 before working his way up to senior counsel, and then partner in 2023.
