Rachel Freeman

Spear’s Review

A collaboratively trained lawyer, Rachel Freeman’s practice at Burgess Mee comprises all aspects of private family work, including financial settlements upon divorce, disputes in relation to children, proceedings between unmarried couples, and pre- and postnuptial agreements. She has particular experience in dealing with complex financial remedy cases, including those with an international element.

As an Anglo-French expert, Freeman is used to working on cases with a French aspect – such as a parent looking to relocate to France with their children. Regardless of their situation, Freeman makes sure to spend time with clients in order to provide the best possible outcome and client experience. ‘You have to listen well to understand what is going on,’ she tells Spear’s. ‘If you jump in too quickly, you can miss things and then not give the right advice.’

She is a member of Resolution’s drafting committee, the Franco-British Lawyers Society and the Association of Children Lawyers.
