Victoria Sterritt
Spear’s Review
Experienced family lawyer Victoria Sterritt’s practice frequently spans both financial remedy and child arrangements, and she is particularly adept at navigating complex and emotionally sensitive disputes that involve HNWs.
Previously head of the private client team at Davidson McDonnell in Belfast, Sterritt joined Burgess Mee in London as a legal director in June 2026. She is dual qualified to practice in England and Wales and Northern Ireland.
She tells Spear’s that neurodivergence is increasingly prevalent in family law proceedings and ‘has been recognised as something we need to be much more aware of’ – whether it is in relation to clients, children or other parties involved in a case.
Sterritt places emphasis on careful fact-finding and tailoring a legal strategy to each client’s circumstances and communication needs, noting that court is not always the most appropriate forum.
‘Increasingly the goal is to not go to court,’ the trained mediator says.
