She focuses on cases related to surrogacy and financial remedies, but began the early part of her career working on freezing injunctions. ‘I was in the deep end from day one,’ she says. Clients include HNWs, high-profile sportspeople and celebrities.
Hamer reveals that the landscape of family law is evolving; in her own line of work, she has seen a downturn in financial remedy cases and an increase in prenuptial agreements: ‘The number of prenups that cross our desk is higher now than it has been in the last 10 years.’
