Andra Ilie wears three hats in her role as a senior adviser at HSBC Global Private Banking. Firstly, she assists with establishing family offices and reviewing existing governing structures. 

Secondly, she works on family governance: setting up a framework around a family business, establishing family constitutions, making succession plans, planning for disposal of businesses and liquidity events, and more.

Her third area of focus is philanthropy. When clients come into wealth (they may have inherited, sold a business or divorced), Ilie advises them on what their philanthropic strategy might be in the UK, as well as alternative strategies that might be available to them internationally.
