Spear’s Review

Priyanka Hindocha became the youngest director at Stonehage Fleming when she was promoted in 2021. She is now a partner and head of the UK family office division, where she assists HNW families and entrepreneurs with strategy, governance and succession planning.

The winner of the Future Leader in Private Client Services Award at the 2023 Spear’s Awards explains that the role of the firm’s family office is ‘to take responsibility of a family’s to-do list, so they have time to focus on the things that are most important to them’, adding that this often includes acting as an outsourced CFO and COO.

She explains that families are drawn to her team’s proposition for three primary reasons. First, the cost and administrative burden of operating a single-family office can be considerable, making an outsourced service preferable. Second, it mitigates the risk associated with adviser turnover, which could otherwise leave the family without support. Third, it provides them with access to Stonehage Fleming’s network of other wealthy families.
