Laser-focused on helping businesses – including her own – achieve sustainable growth, KPMG UK chair Bina Mehta benefits from 30 years of experience working with businesses globally, advising them through everything from complex M&A transactions to cross-border restructuring.

Mehta, the first woman to hold the chair role in the professional services firm’s 150-year history, was initially elected in early 2021 on a temporary basis; she was soon made permanent and in 2023 was overwhelmingly approved for a second term to end in 2026.

In 2022, Mehta received an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list for her services to trade and investment in the UK and for supporting female entrepreneurs.

She represented the professional services industry in the government’s Strategic Trade Advisory Group, is a council member of the Institute for Fiscal Studies, is a member of the Professional Business Services Council, and chairs the KPMG Foundation.
