Bina Mehta
Spear’s Review
Laser-focused on helping businesses – including her own – achieve sustainable growth, KPMG UK chair Bina Mehta benefits from 30 years of experience working with businesses globally, advising them through everything from complex M&A transactions to cross-border restructuring.
The first woman to hold the chair role in the professional services firm’s 150-year history, Mehta was initially elected in 2021 on a temporary basis; she was soon made permanent and in 2023 was approved for a second term to end in 2026. In 2022, Mehta received an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list for her services to trade and investment in the UK and for supporting female entrepreneurs.
KPMG saw an 11 per cent increase in profits in 2024 but has – as with many professional services firms – had to implement cost-cutting measures, including redundancies and freezing salaries, over recent years to cope with a challenging market.
