Macfarlanes’ Sebastian Prichard Jones helps globally dispersed wealthy families with tax planning. Often, his work has jurisdictional elements, and he is experienced in assisting UK and non-UK based families in structuring their affairs. Prichard Jones trained at Macfarlanes in 1998 and was made a partner in 2005 before becoming senior partner in 2020. 

The firm offers support on both direct and indirect tax disputes as well as handling the ‘full spectrum’ of tax matters in relation to HMRC, including assistance with any potential litigation and investigations. Prichard Jones’s recent work has included advising on an investigation by HMRC into the structure of a non-UK grouping of companies.
