The thorough programme of tests carried out at the Lumen clinic in Harley Street is designed to detect problems that might indicate future risks, such as heart disease or the very early stages of common cancers, so they can be treated as non-invasively as possible.

Dr Garry Savin, an experienced GP, leads the team of dedicated nurses, cardiologists, radiographers and MRI scanning technicians at Lumen who perform the wide range of assessments on offer. He describes the practice as the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of health screening. 

The clinic also recently introduced a new technology called BrainKey, Savin tells Spear’s. ‘Basically, we can measure each individual part of the brain with 3D biometric analysis and plot data over time to see if the brain is shrinking too fast … that can be an indication of early neurodegenerative diseases.’
