WE CREATED TATTON in 2013 with only a blank sheet of paper and our experience in private client wealth and investment management. We knew, that with the technology that advisers and investment managers took for granted, the management of IFA-led investment portfolios could be vastly improved and the cost drag on returns reduced. Our aim was to democratise professional portfolio management and make it more accessible to most investors.

Today we have been voted the Best Discretionary Fund Manager in the UK for the past four years running and manage over £7.6 billion of client money. We have applied our founding principles to offer the same service commitments and investment standards to more discerning investors.

We create and manage investment portfolios for private clients, working in partnership with expert advisers. Our portfolios are structurally diversified and can integrate tax considerations.

First and foremost, we are investment managers. Our portfolio managers are highly experienced professionals working within one investment team. We have short reporting lines and operate a collegiate investment culture, based on our interpretations of the global economy and ever-changing capital market dynamics.

Portfolio returns are the most visible performance indicator but can only be achieved within a client’s risk tolerance – we don’t compromise risk to chase returns. Similarly, we don’t compromise returns through unnecessary costs, so our investment process drives towards lower cost of investment wherever possible. Many of our entrepreneurial clients have created their wealth in their own lifetime and their requirements are for preservation and growth. Our investment process is highly disciplined with access, transparency and liquidity are integral in our investment thinking.

Our parent firm is listed on the AIM market meaning that our own financial information and management information is publicly available – this delivers corporate transparency in the same way we provide transparency to our clients and builds trust through rigorous corporate governance.
