Prior to co-founding Tatton in 2012, Mentel grew Octopus Investments – where he served as chief investment officer – to a £1.6 billion business.

He now fulfils the dual role of heading Tatton Investment Management and serving as chief investment officer to its asset management business.

He highlights Tatton’s mission to expand access to wealth management and its focus on both transparency and value for money. ‘Being well-off does not automatically make you financially literate,’ he says.
