Mike Fisher

Spear’s Review

Studio Indigo’s Mike Fisher creates homes with ‘expressive luxury and yet distinct character’, with client projects dispersed globally.

Fisher founded the firm in 2005 with the aim of ‘integrating architecture and interior design’ to create ‘timeless and comfortable homes’. Studio Indigo works on a broad array of projects, using the breadth of experience of its 40 technicians, architects and designers.

Business is currently ‘bouncy and busy’, Fisher told Spear’s, with the firm expanding its yacht design projects and taking on restaurant and hotel residences, including the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair in Hanover Square, as well as private homes in the UK and the south of France.

Adviser Profile

Creative Director Mike Fisher founded Studio Indigo in 2005, with the objective of bridging the gap between architecture and interior design to provide a more holistic approach. Mike graduated in Architecture from the University of Dundee and went on to complete his Masters degree at Oxford Brookes in Urban Design. Whilst his years as a student grounded him in Architecture, mentors throughout his life taught him the intricacies of interior design, learning about colour, texture and form. This opened his eyes to a new world and one where he saw the gap between both fields quite clearly.

Now with over 30 years’ experience, Mike’s approach to design is fluid yet practical, each new journey representing a sense of discovery. His style straddles a fine balance between aesthetic and function, ensuring spaces are exciting and comfortable whilst also blending both past and present. Mike thrives on challenges as he finds them paths towards innovation and exploration, pushing the boundaries of space and design.

As the Creative Director of the Studio, Mike oversees all of the projects, lending his expertise and leadership to ensure the Studio surpasses expectations throughout every step of the development process. At the core of his approach lies a passion for delivering unrivalled experiences, coupled with a distinct ability to identify our client’s needs and wishes; he always yearns to ‘surprise and delight’.

After 15 years in the industry, Studio Indigo is working on some of the most illustrious spaces in both residential, commercial and yachting that are luxuriously bespoke and personal to each client.
