After a number of years in the TV and film and yachting industries, Eliza Brown realised something was missing in her career. Having grown up on a farm, she was taught traditional crafts by her family – crafts that are now facing extinction through knowledge loss across generations. With Rvival, Brown says, ‘I set myself the mission to protect those skills.’

Through the experiential travel company, Brown and her team teach clients – who in the past have included Sir David Beckham and his sons – fishing, free-diving, falconry, foraging, animal tracking and more as part of a curated and action-packed trip. This sits within a wider goal to bring influential figures away from the spotlight, Brown explains, helping them to slow down and reconnect with nature.

Each trip is curated according to a guest’s interests; an itinerary can feature hiking on a private island, deerstalking or learning to cook over an open fire – and then revelling in the day’s accomplishments. Whatever the request, Brown always wants to make sure that clients ‘come away feeling like they have achieved something incredible for themselves’.
