Portia Fox began her career in design at Candy & Candy and Katharine Pooley before setting up her own interior design studio in 2017.

Fox has quickly built an impressive roster of influential clients, and has left her mark on properties across the world, including a French chateau, a St Barts retreat, a villa on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai and a 30,000 sq ft ski chalet high in the Swiss Alps.

She tells Spear’s that while her studio has no set house style, ‘What runs through all of our projects is an extreme attention to detail and some bespoke furniture,’ adding that she also always considers the needs and vision of her clients, as well as timelessness and comfort.

The founder and creative director explains that she takes a ‘hands-on’ approach. ‘It gives clients peace of mind to know that the founder is also on top of projects,’ she says. Perhaps this is why the vast majority of her clients return to complete second and third projects with her and her team.
