David Francis, a partner and head of tax dispute resolution at Grant Thornton, has dedicated his career to guiding clients through the complexities of tax disputes and enquiries, combining technical expertise with an insider’s understanding of HMRC.

Before joining Grant Thornton in 2016, he spent eight years at HMRC, including in the counter-avoidance team, gaining a unique insight into settlement strategies and enforcement mechanisms. He now advises owner-managed businesses and HNWs on formal enquiries, serious fraud investigations, cross-border matters and bespoke avoidance cases.
