Jacqueline Major is a principal and head of the family department at Clintons. Since moving to the firm in 2024, she has embraced the firm’s specialisation in the entertainment, digital media and creative industries, bringing over 25 years of experience in family law, plus training as a barrister, mediator and collaborative lawyer.

‘I’m an all-rounder for anything to do with premarital agreements or cohabitation agreements, and anything to do with breakdown in relationships,’ she tells Spear’s, adding that the latter may include Schedule 1 claims and financial provision arising from divorce or dissolution of civil partnerships. 

Major prides herself on her ability to settle cases, which is particularly appreciated by her privacy-conscious media clients. ‘I’ve always been keen for client care, first and foremost,’ she says. ‘There are a lot of good family lawyers out there. You have to be outstanding in your ability; you have to be available.’
