Sam Hall, who co-founded and serves as senior partner at Hall Brown Family Law, tells Spear’s that ‘at any one time, we’re probably acting for at least one billionaire’.

Hall deals with every aspect of family law, but he has a particular specialism in financial cases arising from divorce, as well as pre- and postnuptial agreements. ‘As a firm, we probably act for the top 15 per cent in the marketplace, as a fair estimate.’

Hall is primarily based in Manchester, although he regularly visits each of the firm’s five offices. Such a presence has, over the years, attracted a wide client base that consists of business leaders, entrepreneurs, footballers, sportspeople and high-profile individuals who often have complex assets and interests abroad. 

‘I think I have quite a down-to-earth approach,’ Hall says. ‘I would like to think that I have an honesty which I established quite early on … I never lose sight of the strategic approach.’
